Aviation

The Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) are rules prescribed by the FAA that govern all aviation activities in the United States including airplane design, maintenance and operations; pilot training and regulation; the height of man-made structures; obstruction lighting and marking; and even hot-air ballooning and model rocket launches.

Whether you are the pilot or owner of an aircraft, an airport-based business, or a business or individual involved in flight or flight training, it is important that you have a resource for legal advice given in the context of the FARs. Even the simple sale or purchase of a private aircraft can be a source of significant personal liability if the sales contract is not written properly or if federally-required records and not completed properly. Aviation is expensive enough without adding the exorbitant costs of lawsuits and possible judgments.

Rob Avery is an experienced pilot, a former member of the Civil Air Patrol, and a member of the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association. He knows and understands aviation and the legal issues that can affect pilots, aircraft owners, and aviation-related businesses. We look forward to assisting you in your aviation-related legal needs.
